Labrix was founded by clinicians Jay H. Mead, MD, FASCP and Erin T. Lommen, ND with the goal of raising the bar on quality hormone testing. With Dr. Mead’s 25 years in laboratory medicine, plus the doctors combined 40 plus years in clinical practice, Labrix founders were well positioned to achieve their goal. In a few short years, Labrix became recognized for setting a new standard for saliva testing in accuracy, reliability and turnaround times. Labrix introduced neurotransmitter testing in 2012, meeting the need for non-invasive solutions for practitioners who wanted a more comprehensive view of the body’s functional neuroendocrine status. In 2016, Labrix was acquired by Doctor’s Data Inc. The combined strengths of both companies, including clinical education and support, and a more comprehensive test menu are now available to providers worldwide.
Doctor's Data, Inc. has provided innovative specialty testing to healthcare practitioners around the world from our advanced, CLIA-licensed clinical laboratory since 1972.
A specialist and pioneer in essential and toxic elemental testing, the laboratory provides a wide array of functional testing to aid in decision making and better patient outcomes. Choose DDI to help you assess and treat heavy metal burden, nutritional deficiencies, gastrointestinal function, cardiovascular risk, hormonal status, liver and metabolic abnormalities, and more.
Consistent, accurate results have always been our first priority. Highly trained personnel, the latest instrumentation and methodologies, continuing client education, powerful data management and extensive quality assurance all contribute to the exceptional quality we demand.
An extensive quality program allows the monitoring of precision, accuracy and detection limits of our analytical measurements. For example, data review is performed on every QC sample and every patient result, to assure that all quality criteria are met and that critical values are checked. Samples are also sent to other laboratories to compare results.
The program also covers other aspects of our service, such as the time required to provide results, the cost of analysis, results interpretation, customer service and more. As a result, you can enjoy more timely, reliable, clinically relevant results that represent great value to your patients.
Ongoing analysis of quality control samples and participation in proficiency testing programs, including the College of American Pathology, assure that the precision and accuracy of DDI results meet your clinical needs. What's more, our involvement in scientific research ensures that we fully understand the nuances of our clinical data, and we can share that learning with you.
DDI supports cutting-edge research in participation with prominent global institutions.
One of our driving research goals has been to bring greater awareness of the function of elements in clinical biochemistry and medicine. We have been actively involved in studies dealing with important subjects such as:
We have partnered with Argonne National Laboratory, Brookhaven National Laboratory, Johns Hopkins Hospital, the European Commission Joint Research Centre, the United States Navy, the California Criminal Justice System, the Oklahoma Department of Health and Human Services, the Universities of California, Florida, Illinois and Texas, and many others.
As part of our commitment to helping answer important biomedical questions, we welcome research proposals and seek collaboration with strong clinical practitioners who are equally committed to improving health and advancing basic knowledge of element function and metabolism.
